Learning goals for MS in Information Systems and Decision Science Degree

1.  Communication

Students will be able to communicate effectively in writing and oral presentations. Students will be able to teach courses in the ISDS undergraduate program in an effective manner.

2.  Ethics and Socially Responsible

Students will be able to make intelligent choices when conducting research as they relate to trade-offs between ethics and the impact on society. 

3.  Critical and Analytical Thinking

When confronted with a research question, students will be able to think critically, analyze the facts, use the appropriate methodologies, relate the issue to the known body of knowledge in the area and draw sound conclusions.

4.  Information Systems Body of Knowledge

When confronted with a research question, students will be able to use the knowledge of information systems research support their research.

5.  Research Skills

Students will be able to conduct guided research on leading issues in ISDS and demonstrate their readiness to enter a PhD program through successful completion and defense of a thesis.
