Education and Experience
Professor Andrea Houston received her Ph.D. from the Department of MIS at The University of Arizona. Dr. Houston worked in industry as a project leader and systems analyst for over 15 years before returning to academics. She teaches the senior level Systems Analysis and Design course for ISDS majors.
Professor Houston's current research interests include looking at information retrieval issues, medical informatics, digital libraries and electronic publishing, human factors in Human/Computer Interaction, and Natural Language Processing. She is also interested in software team development and organizational memory.
